Every public transportation user in Puerto Vallarta got the news that our way to our work will have some changes and we’re sure we’re all a little bit confused but we’d like to clarify your doubts and to make your journey go back to normal as soon as possible.
Starting August 10th, new routes were added, some of them were modified and the operation on the new Transfer Zones were started. We’ll explain a little more about it.
The routes with new units are Ixtapa – Colonia Emiliano Zapata, CETRAM Ixtapa – Lázaro Cárdenas Park and CETRAM Volcanes – Lázaro Cárdenas Park. These new buses will keep their 10 pesos rate, will be air conditioned and will have a pre pay with selling and recharging spots at Sam’s Club Puerto Vallarta, Lázaro Cárdenas Park in Olas Altas and Plaza Pitillal.
Another fact to acknowledge for public transportation users is that in order to lower bus traffic in the Downtown area, transfer zones have been created that will get you to this part of the bay and they are this way:
Transfer zone 1: Routes which transfer are Loma Bonita, Ixtapa Llanitos and Banus. Transfer point is the municipal stadium and working hours are 6 am to 11pm.
Transfer zone 2: Routes which transfer are Joyas, Versalles, Demonio Blanco, Magisterio, Juntas, Ixtapa, Villa de Guadalupe and Guadalupe Victoria. Working hours are 6 am to 11 pm and the transfer point is the Hidalgo Park.
Transfer zone 3: Routes which transfer are Mojoneras, San Esteban, Infonavit, Demonio Blanco, Magisterio, Juntas, Ixtapa, Villa de Guadalupe and Guadalupe Victoria. Working hours are 6 am to 11 pm and the transfer point is the Lázaro Cárdenas Plaza.
